Break Me from Afar, 2023

“Break Me from Afar” is a series that extends from "Touch Me from Afar" and introducing an experiment of wearable technology prototypes. Elements were extracted from invisible vital signs such as pulse, heartbeat, BPM, turning into obvious remarks on garments. With the uses of motors, sensors, LEDs, the message is to show a hint of vulnerability. As a respond to the collection "Touch Me from Afar," privileges were granted and now you can break me easily from afar.


Look 1: Puffy sleeve top and wide pants, heart-shape LEDs that resonate with wearer's pulse, made with cotton duck, pulse sensor, LED matrix
Look 2: BPM shaped front opening coat, made with denim twill
Look 3: Corset dress, breathing-activated motor
